I'm like Hexadecimal. I have alot of faces, I'm a little off, red's definitely my color, and I think things may get interesting if a game cube comes out. ROFL

Unlike your Lunatic Princess remix, this is more like a cover. Aside from the different instruments from Nue's original theme, it's almost exactly the same in tone and tempo.
While I would've prefered more differences, this actually came out pretty good. Very ominious at some parts and fitting for a boss character. I'm sure anyone not familiar with the game can tell just from listening to this that it's boss fight music. The fact that it managed to maintain that atmosphere made me decide to fiven. Besides, a few hours isn't enough time to remix it well.
Like said, I'd prefer more differences from the original, but I'm glad that it maintains the atmosphere. Makes me wonder what you may be able to do with Fires of Houkai or Hellfire Mantle.

Fast , upbeat, and calm. It's very beautiful and well done. It's especially great that you gave it a fast pace without it overpowering the lyrics.

I've only played one of the Original Generation games and have enjoyed it for the soundtrack and unique tactic style. Your remix makes me want to get back to playing it again. Your remix is powerful and kicks alot of ass, so I enjoy it alot. Some part do have one instrument overpower another, but it's still audible and doesn't distract from the overall work. Very well done.
Hope you do one for Code ATA.

Only one? Then go on and play OG2/OG/whichever you didn't play; always an awesome strategy game. The soundtrack is so, I dunno, fitting for mech battles and I really loved it enough to remix this track (and some other betas)! Thanks for the review, and Code ATA's not so guitar-ey that I want to remix is unfortunately...but I still have those betas of Axel's and Elzam's themes... :)

Heh, didn't realize til today that you also put stuff on Newgrounds.
Now for the remix. I enjoy this very much. You've added a great atmosphere to it that makes it darker than the original. It builds up very nicely with some pleasantly calm parts where the original would loop. Some parts to it are strong and dynamic as well. All this done while still maintaining the atmosphere that's created, so great job on that.
I enjoy hearing your music and am looking forward to more.

"F-zero, Mushihimesama, and Chrono Trigger?"
It's audible, intense, and fast paced. Each part reminds me of either F-zero, Mushihimesama, or Chrono Trigger. Could be the speed, the guitar, the atmosphere some of the sounds create, or the calm on some parts.
Either way, it's well done and would be great for any hectic scenes.

"Kinda like, but not quite."
I like how the slower pace makes for a good theme when strolling along a tundra or a similiar frozen landscape. The beat is as solid as it should be. After about a minute and a half, other sounds came in and were a bit sloppy, especially the sounds halfway through. Those extra sounds were either unneeded or it simply was too overpowering for the remix.
The slower pace makes it enjoyable and the beat is maintained well, but the extra sounds come off sloppy.
On a side note, don't worry about purists complaining about it being too slow. Sonic fans tend to be the hardest to please these days. Fortunately, I'm one of the more easy going ones.

The original is the first Touhou song I ever heard and hearing your piano work of this brings back those memories. Very well done on the piano and with the little extra tone that come in around a minute and a half. Nothing is overdone and it's very pleasant to hear.
Thanks for creating and sharing with the rest of us. I'm definitely putting this on my audio player.

Very nice remake. Requiem For The Gods is one of my top fav tracks from the Castelvania series and this does come very close to the original. It wasn't till towards the end that I could identify that it wasn't a CD rip, it's that close to the original. Thanks for doing this.
Author's Response:
Thanks a million.

Well, you added a great tone to this track. The chimes really bring this out and the weather sounds add great ambience to this. Slowing it down makes it sound more like a stage theme than a boss theme, which I really don't mind. While my personal fav of Sakuya's themes is Flowering Night, this came out to be something I enjoy alot.
Hope you do Flowering Night in the future.

What comes to my mind whenever I listen to this is a mix of the various games I've beaten before. It's like a cluster of various final fight and final stage themes I've heard from countless games, but put together very well. It's pretty obvious this is an original track, so I'm not saying it's similiar to any game BGM's I've heard. However, for anyone who's played various games of various genres, like myself, this can create nostalgia simply because of choice in melody and instruments. The overall flow of the song is one big "This is the final confrontation. Time to end it".
Most likely not your intention, but it occurs and is pleasant to here. Why noone used it in a Flash game at the time of this review is beyond me. Hope to see this used in a Flash game in the future. Too epic to be underused like this.
