It's a shame that Cirno isn't as adept as Nitori, lol. Enough joking.

It's actually pretty good. First two patterns were fairly easy and the later patterns are pretty fun. Things don't get interesting til Alice's signature, the dolls. It's pretty fun for those who want a boss rush mode for Shmups. My only complaint is that the controls were a bit weird, with the directional firing. Then again, it's also nice to warp around from one side to the other, which helped against the lasers.

"Good atmosphere, but..."

Story: the story is nice, good introduction to it. However, the animation itself really didn't lend itself to well for it. It has an anticlimactic end. Fortunately, it wasn't one of those things where the character happens to have a fire arm or something to fight a monster. Still, having the creature run off after one hard hit isn't much. Perhaps more backstory on what the creature may have been. It could also help if there was more to the reason why it ran, such as a noise or if the guy was an athlete. I'm thinking the latter, but not too sure due to the lack of story detail.

Atmosphere: The atmosphere you managed to create works well. The audio selection and placement went great and truly made this animation worth looking at. It's dark and the viewer can get a sense of how the guy must feel.

Animation: It's a very simple animation, but it does have some nice details. You have a great drawing style. Hell, your alot better at drawing ears than I am. Some of the subtle movement, like the eyes going back and forth, were also well done. Another plus is that the gradiants weren't overused, a problem that many new Flash artists tend to have. Your shading can use some work, but it's not as bad as most people out there. The color selection also works well. About the only problem I see is that the movement is simplistic. Half the time, it looked more like paper doll limbs rather than actual movement. I think after some time, you'll get the movement down well.

Overall: Your definitely on the right track. You know how to set the atmosphere, you don't make any noob mistakes, and I enjoyed it despite the ending. You have great potential that can be reached through improvement.

On a side note, you shouldn't listen to anyone that say you should change in accords to their prefered style. I see a couple reviewers who have done that. Just work and improve in the style (or styles) that you like most. If you keep changing to meet the standards of every critic, you'll find your work becoming bland. Don't ever allow your work to become bland. Keep what you have now and just improve where it is needed.

"Funny, yet sad."

It's pretty funny. Too bad Birthers actually do believe this. Though, I personally believe that some "Birthers" are only saying the things they say because they don't want to friends and/or family to turn on them.

Back to the review. Pretty standard for graphics and the dialogue is nice. The few visual gags are also fairly funny. Everything is perfectly understandable, so that's a big plus. Good job on this.

To the viewers reading this, there are some people who actually have this opinion of Obama. However, most people will repeatedly state these opinions not out of belief, but for other reasons like fear, hate, desperation, or simple confusion. I've watched and read alot on politics and this was an actual belief before the health care debates got heated.

"Got a chuckle"

The end got a chuckle out of me. That stick guy had almost a "wtf!" reaction. Sound could've been better and should've stopped when the Flash ended. The animation is also fairly nice. Good work. Just do something about the sound in future works.

It's like the same ol same ol of the Spam genre. I'm too used to stuff like this having more variety, usually with a group of animators putting there respect works into a time trial type thing. Considering what I read in the other review and your response comment, I can forgive it for the short comings. Five hours isn't enough to add needed variety, nya.

As a friendly suggestion, I want to see footage of a Yukkuri playing soccer. Don't know if Aya has any lying around or if good pics were taken.

It's simplistic in design and execution, but it's entertaining. It also offers up a good difficulty as the levels progress. The music selection is easy listening as well. I also enjoy the bonus points from the dead fish. It's also nice to see that the snakes have different speeds and come from all directions.

My only gripe is that along the outside are blind spots that can result in cheap deaths. This makes it more of an annoyance than a difficulty. About the only time the outside area is safe is when all the snakes are on the board. Something that doesn't happen the farther you are in the game. If you can do something to fix that, I'm sure this would be a great game to challenge.

Nice job on the style. Very well executed story. The cinderblock trap towards the end is also great. I mean, I've seen such a setup before, but rarely do I see stuff like that.

Nice audio selection as well, seeing how it worked with the overall atmosphere.

"Could be better."

The intro was a little longer than needed. However, the rest wasn't so bad.

The fight was a bit typical and the Naruto design didn't look like anything like the original designs. Despite that, I find it to be a bit enjoyable. I think that some things can be done to make this more enjoyable. Sound FX, maybe some voice work, could make each hit and the powerups actually seam like collisions and energy building. Some inbetween animations would work as well, such as with the slow down energy punch towards the end. The inbetween frames can easily be put together in anything, seeing how it is pixeled sprites. Another option could've been to seperate the arm from the rest of the sprite and use motion tweens to rotate the arm, and maybe even the palm/fist.

The good thing to this is that there are some nice visual effects and the action maintained a pretty decent pace. The energy palm, despite needing more animation frames or motion tweens, did have a nice effect to it. The lacking animation did make it less enjoyable than it could have been.

I am thankful that you didn't realie on the annoyingly stupid side of this type of Flash animating. There was no spastic screaming, no overly crude humor (especially thanks for no Sexy Jutsu moments), no meme abuse I noticed (I am bored of over 9000 jokes), and the "moves to fast to be seen" moments were very short. Because you did not relie on those overused elements, I voted higher than I would have.

Aside from little things, it isn't so bad. I have no feelings either way towards Maple Story and Naruto, so it won't make me think any less or more of this Flash. I do enjoy this to an extent and think that little things like smoother animations and additional sounds would've made this a top grade animation worth watching for anyone.

Hope your next animation has some improvements to it.
